Educational Media

Every profession is concerned about Professional Sexual Misconduct. Any professional who is interested in professional boundaries or who has had problems with professional boundaries is encouraged to participate in one of our CME educational programs. Our flagship course is a 24 hour, 3 day, Friday-Sunday, conference conducted in Atlanta. The student-faculty ratio is approximately 2:1 and the faculty includes national experts who have been selected because of their excellent teaching skills and experience in this field. This course has received acclaim by participants, including those who have attended other Boundary training courses in the USA. Once participant stated, “I’ve attended a course in Tennessee and in Southern California and neither came close to the value I’ve received here.”Topics covered are comprehensive and include basic ethical fundamentals, precedents to boundary violations, victim’s stories and perspectives, legal and administrative issues, treatment, monitoring, and many other topics related to Professional Boundaries. Speakers include representatives from Advocate Web, an Administrative Attorney, Physician Health Program Director, Psychiatrists specializing in evaluation and treatment of professional sexual misconduct and others.

Accountability Groups for Other Professionals

Accountability Groups

Accountability groups were initially formed as an offshoot of the training programs, by request of participants and their boards or those who referred them. Many participants wanted to continue contact and gain support from peers and group leaders. We currently have accountability groups three nights per week by teleconference call. Attendance can be video phone verified. Attendance reports are available to monitoring agencies. Many participants have found these groups extremely valuable.
